“On April 1, 1908, civil engineer Anton Meyer (1880 – 1963) founded a construction business in Veldhausen. His son Adolf (1912 – 1993) joined him in 1935. On January 1, 1945, the business was relocated to Dackhorstweg in Neuenhaus. After the currency reform in 1948, things picked up quickly. Orders came mainly from the oil industry, but also from local authorities. In 1972 Horst Beyer, son-in-law of Adolf Meyer, joined the company as managing director, followed by his son Thomas Beyer in 2006. Today, the company employs around 200 people. 90 percent are county residents. […]”
